I want to find the little lying bastard who told me the for $5 you can get a good, clean, comfortable hotel room anywhere in India.
He should suffer for warping my expectations in such an inhumane way.
This is what you get for $5 in the town of Kottayam, Kerala state.
The bed:
A colony of mildew is positioned to jump on your head in your sleep and take over your brain. The pillow case comes pre-soiled with one (1) pubic hair.
The bathroom
A 20-watt lightbulb provides mood lighting, casting a honeyed glow on the tile grime.
The spiders are complimentary.
Plugs
When hotels hire electricians who advertise with a business card on the corkboard at the Piggly Wiggly. At a Sheraton in my room and down the hall near the vending machine room.
Hair
So my client asked me this morning, “How’s the hotel? Not going to show up on that Facebook thing you do, is it?” I said no, that it’s great and moderately swanky. I just moved my pillow and the bed spread is covered with 1-2 inch semi curly dark head hair. Not mine. This is my third night in the hotel too.
Lesson Of The Day: housekeeping will OFTEN miss behind the bathroom door. Non-cranial hair.

Period Stain
The Shilo Inn at the airport in Boise. Idaho. Same state that Mark Fuhrman has a home. Blood drop on bathroom tile. Hmmm…am I being set up?
Maybe I’ve begun to over analyze things. A blood drop with comet trail indicating it was dropped as someone walked towards the toilet. Could also me “filler” from a Hostess Cherry Pie. At the Shilo Inn in at the Boise airport.
