From a business traveler who checked into a Hilton brand in Reston, Virginia (maybe she was being arrested and the officer said “Assume the position”?):
Happened to check-in early enough that the sunshine was streaming into what appeared to be a very clean room. Because of the angle of the sunlight off the headboard, something caught my eye. Yup, those are women’s handprints folks and there is only one thing that can be going on with placement like this.
I imagine who was ever strapped down to this ironing board and tortured, spilled his guts and ratted out everyone he’s ever met: Months ago when I was asked to emcee the film festival in Sutter Creek. I decided to book a room so I would not have to drive back to Sacramento each night. There is a good reason the Jackson Lodge was the only available vacancy within 30 miles of the event. It turned out to be a very bad decision on my part. Whatever you do, no matter how tired you are, DO NOT book a room at the Jackson Lodge in Jackson California. Hotel phones and channel changers are historic for being bacterial frappe’s. You don’t need a blacklight to see the crud on this one.

Brownish, reddish stains and patterns on a hotel drape in DC, submitted by a frequent business traveler in town for meetings.
It’s never a good sign when the previous brand’s shuttle van is sitting, abandoned, broken into and rusting in a corner of the parking lot. “Holiday Inn” can barely be seen through the paint. At a Marriott in San Antonio.
